My name is Amber and I have started my own business, known as Customizies. I am 18 years old, I live in The Netherlands and over the past few years I have developed my creative talents into a passion.
All designs you will encounter on this website are handmade by me with an eye for detail. Quality is very important to me and that is why every custom is thoroughly cleaned and degreased and painted with care. This ensures the design to be water repellent and protects the design from scratches.

how everything started
Customizies started when I was motivated to customize my own Nike Air Forces at the start of the Corona lockdown in February 2020. Online someone inspired while painting theirs and I thought it was so cool! I am not a sneakerhead and I don't have a huge interest in sneakers, but I have loved drawing and painting from an early age so I was too excited to have another creative project. First I watched videos online and searched for inspiration on Pinterest. I didn't have the right paint yet, so I used some acrylic paint from the cupboard. Through the process I made a Tiktok which got 140,000 views! So people thought it was just as cool as I did! My boyfriend encouraged me to invest in good quality leather paint products and a very expensive airbrush. I started an Instagram account called Customizies, which is mainly inspired by the word "custom" but with a fun twist. I made a portfolio by customizing my (old) shoes, texted all my friends to ask if they could promote me and quickly posted a first giveaway. It soon became clear that people in the Netherlands like to have a unique design put on their sneakers! One thing led to another and here I am, having a total followers of 30.000 people and counting, shipping International and being able to combine work with my passion.
